Some 1,000 students were honored at Chapman University for their award-winning entries in the annual Holocaust and Art Writing Contest on the theme “I Have a Story to Tell.” The students told the stories through prose and poetry, in art pieces and on screen. The contest, in its 18th year, received some 7,000 entries from schools in 30 states and eight countries. Unfortunately, Sadie was on the 8th Grade Washington DC trip and was unable to attend the event.
